I woke up this morning, and the television was flashing something about canceled flights. "Oh, no," I said. Thankfully, I was flying Southwest, not American Airlines.

I arrived two hours early at Orlando International Airport. But I got through security in five minutes, even after the TSA agent flagged me for not taking my computer out of its bag.

As the plane lifted off and just before the clouds enveloped it, I saw subdivision, subdivision, subdivision. Typical Florida.

As the plane descended below the clouds over Colorado, I saw brown fields, silos, tractors. For some reason, they were more beautiful than the commercial growth planted amid the natural growth in Florida.
