A green heron rests on a branch of a pine tree.
Friday was my most pitiful effort yet in trying to get a cardinal photo. I spent only 15 minutes walking around, and nothing happened to pop out of the woods - no cardinal, that is. There were other birds, such as the one above, a green heron.
