Moon light, moon bright: Why are you so radiant tonight?

As I walked through the nearly empty FLORIDA TODAY parking lot around 2 this morning, I noticed something quite luminous in the sky.

"It's the moon, stupid," I said ... to myself.

Of course it's the moon, but darn, it was the brightest one I had ever seen. I'm not sure why: It wasn't even full. But I had never noticed such brilliance from the thing since moving to the Sunshine State.

They should call it the Moonshine State.

    Maybe it was getting out its glowy glowfulness before the total eclipse Wednesday.
